Event Arosa Lenzerheide
Bodies of Water

Description
We follow the path of alpine meltwater – from the high mountains through dam reservoirs to underground water systems. Underwater footage of glaciers and aquatic plants merges with the spatial resonances of dams and reservoirs. In the improvised live set, documentary soundscapes blend with ambient electronic textures to create a meditative listening experience. The set is based on the eponymous project at the Chair of Landscape Architecture by Christophe Girot at ETH Zurich, with Ludwig Berger, Laura Endres, Fabian Gutscher, Dennis Häusler, Johannes Rebsamen, Matthias Vollmer, and students from the Department of Architecture. The concert will take place at the Hotel Schweizerhof as part of the cultural week FrequenzNatur 2025. Please feel free to register at the hotel reception for directions to the concert hall. The cultural week FrequenzNatur 2025 is dedicated to listening and attuning to what sounds, vibrates, hums, and resonates in nature. With our ears, bodies, and imagination, we explore the soundscape of nature on walks around Lenzerheide – from beetles and worms in the soil to birdsong high in the air. The cultural week is organized in collaboration with curator Bettina Rohr as part of the Dear2050 project, which aims to foster a better understanding of nature and climate change. The events are open to the public.
