Cinema: «Melodie» in Ilanz

People of different origins indulge in singing, alone or in community. Singing gives a feeling of strength, happiness and comfort in all situations, it touches our soul and awakens our memories. From the Ticino rapper to the Kurdish refugee family, from premature babies to people with dementia, singing creates trust and well-being. Singing together requires listening and tuning in to others. This applies to football fans, the mixed choir GoAndSing, the traditional men's choir in Thurgau, the sisters from Fahr Monastery and the militant singing at the women's demonstration. The fact that singing is an individual expression and collective experience at the same time is shown by MELODIE as a light-footed, melodious and exhilarating film in difficult times.
