Concerto di Luciano Toscano

We are pleased to announce excellent news: the return of Luciano Toscano to the local music scene is an event not to be missed, combining the rediscovery of local dialect music with an important charitable cause.

Mesocco amateur musician Luciano Toscano, now embassy secretary for the Swiss Confederation has spent his career in several cities, including Paris, Lisbon, Kiev, Genoa, Rome, Bern, Moscow and currently in China's capital Beijing – will make his highly anticipated return to the stage of the Mesocco performance hall.

After graduating from high school in Chur, he started working in the Engadine for the Rhaetian Railway. Driven by his youthful passion for music, he began playing with friends, forming an amateur band. Returning to his native town to take up the profession of postal worker, he continued to play alone and recorded a CD of songs in the dialect of Mesocco entitled. "La scinta del dragh" (1999) is a tribute to the work and life of small mountain farmers, at the end of the nineties he participated in a festival for young musicians in Mesocco.

Luciano has chosen to offer the concert completely free of charge to support a vital cause for the region.

During the evening a voluntary fundraiser (obolus) will be set up. The entire proceeds will be donated to ACAM – Spitex Moesano, the essential organization that provides assistance and home care in our region.

A unique opportunity to listen to the songs in dialect of a Mesoccone with an international scope and, at the same time, do one's part to support a crucial service for the community.
