EWIGI LIEBI tells the story of Daneli and Heidi, who once loved each other and now, 30 years after their separation, unexpectedly get the chance to travel back in time – and perhaps find happiness together after all. The romantic comedy brings together some of the biggest German-Swiss pop hits of the last 30 years. Heidi and Daneli are in their early 50s when they meet again after 30 years. Both come from Trueb in the Emmental region and were in love with each other until their paths diverged because Daneli, after a lie by his bandmate Ferdinand, spent a night with the village beauty Sabe. But Heidi caught them, turned away from Daneli and married Ferdinand. Today, Daneli runs a music record shop in Zurich, but has to vacate it due to renovation. The builder is Heidi, of all people, who runs a real estate company with Ferdinand. So the two meet again and would give anything to turn back time...
