flimsfestival: Eröffnungskonzert Oboenquartett

In the restaurant of the Gasthaus Crestasee we open this year's festival summer. The programme includes Mozart's joyful Oboe Quartet, which he composed in Munich in 1780. The composer dedicated it to his friend Friedrich Ramm, oboist in the chapel of Elector Karl Theodor. Contemporaries already raved about Ramm: "You don't say too much when you say

that no one has ever made the beautiful, round, gentle and true tone on the oboe, combined with the blaring depth in the forte, his own as excellently as he has." Mozart took into account his friend's virtuosity and the latest technical developments in instrument making by composing a work that made full use of the oboe's range and the musician's technical brilliance. Tonight's oboist is on the same level as the dedicatee of Mozart's composition in terms of virtuosity and musicality: Andrea Bischoff is principal oboist of the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and professor at the Lucerne University of Music and has already delighted the flimsfestival audience several times with her oboe playing. Music among friends on a summer evening in an enchanting place - the perfect start to the festival summer! At the end of the day, a musical surprise awaits our guests on the terrace.
