flimsfestival: Osterkonzert Mozart

Together with Lei Meng, an internationally celebrated pianist from China and the youngest professor at the Mozarteum Salzburg, the "orchester le phénix" will perform two piano concertos by Mozart in the version for piano and string orchestra. As an introduction to the programme, also for string instruments: the overture to "Le Nozze di Figaro"! And in the meantime a souvenir from Mozart's trip to Italy, on which he thoroughly examined styles, genres and the local musical taste and incorporated them into his music: the Divertimento KV 136.

The pianist Lei Meng was born in Harbin (China) in 1991 and received her musical training in Beijing, Salzburg and Paris. Since 2018 she has been teaching at the Mozarteum University Salzburg. Since 2024, she has been a lecturer at the International Summer Academy Salzburg and Professor of Piano and Piano Didactics at the Mozarteum Salzburg. Lei Meng has received numerous national and international awards. Concerts have taken her to many European countries, the USA, China and Brazil. She can be heard on CD with works by Scarlatti, Mozart, Dutilleux and Bach.
