Folk! Inspiration Volksmusik
Description
The program "Folk!" by The Quinten Project is driven by pure joy of playing and takes the audience through all epochs, styles, cultures, and emotional worlds. Musical interludes transport listeners not only to Paris in the 1920s, into baroque cathedrals, and the Swiss mountains, but also to the world of jazz or even a Japanese comic – the touching sounds of Klezmer, gypsy tunes, tango, and Turkish dance music invite dreaming. The extraordinarily versatile sound spectrum of violin, clarinet, and accordion ranges from delicate and sensitive to wild and space-filling. The exceptionally assembled ensemble The Quinten Project was formed in 2021 during the Boutique concerts Quinten at Lake Walen. Mirjam Tschopp performs as a soloist and chamber musician on violin and viola in some of the world's most important concert halls and is a professor at the University of Music in Vienna. Francesco Negrini is a lecturer at the Stella Vorarlberg University of Music in Feldkirch and plays as a solo clarinetist with renowned orchestras under famous conductors. Laurent Derache is active worldwide in concert halls, theaters, and studios with projects from jazz, blues, chanson, classical, and world music. Most of the arrangements by The Quinten Project originate from his pen. Mirjam Tschopp, violin & viola - Francesco Negrini, clarinet - Laurent Derache, accordion
