Freeride Festival Flims Laax: Workshop 1AID in Terrain - Sunday
Description
Gain practical insight into first aid in winter terrain – straight from the day-to-day experience of the LAAX ski patrol. In this 1.5–2-hour workshop, experienced patrollers will show you how to stay calm and act safely and correctly in snow-related emergency situations.
You’ll combine hands-on theory with realistic exercises and strengthen your decision-making skills in alpine environments – whether on or off the slopes.
What to expect in the workshop:
-Recognising and assessing emergency situations in alpine terrain
-Basic first aid for winter sports participants (e.g. unconsciousness, injuries, cold-related issues)
-Practical exercises in stabilisation, positioning and emergency communication
-Safe procedures for accidents in open terrain
-Cooperation with professional rescue services
-Valuable tips from the daily work of the ski patrol
This workshop is part of the Freeride Festival Flims Laax – an event that brings together deep powder, creativity and alpine adventure in a unique format. Throughout the first week of March, riders, filmmakers and outdoor enthusiasts come together to celebrate the diversity of freeriding, with contests, workshops, a testival and inspiring encounters both on the mountain and in the valley.
Goodies: A free festival pass for the Testival area (Sat/Sun, March 7–8) at the Freeride Base Nagens is included in the workshop price.
More information about the goodies, the workshop booking link and the latest event updates can be found on the event website.
