Freeride Festival Flims Laax: Workshop Steep Terrain with Rope
Description
Turns & Learns Freeride Workshop
Steep, narrow, wild – sounds like your thing? Then this workshop is for you.
You’ll learn how to move safely in technical terrain, including rope handling, fixed ropes, abseiling with skis or a board, and improvised anchors. We’ll show you how to keep a cool head even in steep couloirs. You’ll be guided by a certified Swiss mountain guide.
Requirements: Very good off-piste skiing or snowboarding skills
Equipment: Harness, one locking carabiner, ice axe, and personal equipment (further details via the booking link)
This workshop is led by Bergsportschule Grischa and takes place as part of the Freeride Festival Flims Laax – an event that brings together deep powder, creativity and alpine adventure in a unique format. Throughout the first week of March, riders, filmmakers and outdoor enthusiasts come together to celebrate the diversity of freeriding, with contests, workshops, a testival and inspiring encounters both on the mountain and in the valley.
Goodies: A free festival pass for the Testival area (Sat/Sun, March 7–8) at the Freeride Base Nagens is included in the workshop price.
More information about the goodies, the workshop booking link and the latest event updates can be found on the event website.
