Anselmo Gadola will introduce you to his work around the cup-shaped stones in our region.
When he was 12 years old, his teacher showed the class the bowl rock with artificial depressions in the Arsiert near Bärenburg. And from then on, Anselmo has never let go of it - he now dedicates a large part of his life to shell stones. There is little scientifically proven evidence of their importance, but Anselmo continues to discover fascinating facts: the depressions in the stones as well as the interconnectedness of various stones in the region result in perfect geometric shapes and there are similarities with the annual course of the sun – not only in the Val Schons, but even beyond the country's borders! During a tour of the exhibition, Anselmo Gadola tells you about his decades of work. But this is not a dry lecture, because Anselmo Gadola has a huge local knowledge and has been burning for the mystery of the cup-shaped stones for decades - and you will feel it.
Next year, the cup-shaped stone exhibition in Bärenburg will celebrate its 30th anniversary and it will be time for Anselmo Gadola to pass on his knowledge to new hands. Maybe you are his successor and you will make contact after the event at the offered "Zvieri".
Today, the world is changing faster than ever, but the cup-shaped stones have survived the change as silent witnesses of time for thousands of years and transport almost forgotten mysteries into our present time.
