The music-loving filmmaker Stascha Bader goes in search of traces of Bern's musical identity. Starting from clichés, he discovers formative folk songs and authors of the past. What began as a musical search for clues turns out to be a journey to the roots of our common social identity. Because the voices from Bern have not been telling and singing their way into our collective consciousness for decades, but for centuries.



A touching and nostalgic journey through the history of the Bernese dialect scene, where we meet greats such as Steff La Cheffe, Christine Lauterburg, Gölä, Trauffer, Greis, Baze, Serej, Poul Prügu, Sam Mumenthaler, Stahlberger and many more.
