In "Hamnet", the story of Shakespeare's family is told in a new way. From the perspective of his sensitive wife Agnes, we experience their love story, the construction of a life together and the tragic loss of their son Hamnet, who dies of the plague at the age of eleven. This loss threatens their marriage, while Shakespeare begins to write "Hamlet" in deep despair.
