Hansel and Gretel, two teenagers from the lively suburbs, have stressed parents. Dad has needed a strict rehab for a long time; Mamma a gentle wellness week with yoga mat and mate tea to recover from dad. The parents send the kids on an expensive adventure trip to the mountain forest at night, give them a few chocolate bars with strong vitamins and rely on their common sense. The excursion is intended to give them a unique experience of nature and strengthen their personal resilience. But everything turns out differently. – Origen's playful singers (Sybille Vollenweider-Diethelm, Salome Cavegn and Matthias Helm) wrest new dimensions from Engelbert Humperdinck's masterpiece, together with pianist Dominic Chamot, and dare a new, cheerful, oblique interpretation of the great classic.
