Ice skating on the Lej da Staz

Lake Lej da Staz lies idyllically between St. Moritz, Celerina, and Pontresina, in the heart of a wide, open clearing in the extensive Staz Forest. While swimmers flock here in the summer, in winter visitors can enjoy a 400-meter-long circular ice rink, groomed daily.

Skates are available for rent on site. Both the preparation of the ice rink and the opening of the skate rental are weather dependent (temperatures that are too warm, poor visibility, strong winds, or snowfall).

Lej da Staz is not accessible by car.

The walk from St. Moritz, Celerina, or Pontresina takes approximately 30 minutes.
