On Friday, October 17, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, oeko energie ag warmly invites all interested parties to a public information event. We will provide insights into the vision and implementation of the heating network: how the heating plant is being developed, how the Arosa houses will be gradually connected to the heating network – and why the project is a crucial building block for a climate-friendly future.Simon Zgraggen, managing director of the heating plant Arosa and board member of oeko energie ag, will explain what economic impulses the project releases for Arosa – through local investments, contracts for regional businesses, and a future-proof energy supply. At the same time, he emphasizes the social character of the locally rooted heating option: a project that connects people, promotes collaboration, and makes an important contribution to the quality of life in Arosa.Afterwards, representatives and experts from community, forestry, energy, and tourism will discuss what opportunities the heating network brings for the entire region: an energy supply from regional wood that keeps revenue and jobs in the valley, stable heating costs, improved supply security, strengthening the tourism image, and a significant reduction in CO₂.At the end of the evening, everyone is invited to an apéro. There, users of existing heating networks from Uri will share their experiences – and look forward to an open exchange with the people of Arosa.
