On Friday, October 17, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, oeko energie ag warmly invites all interested parties to a public information event. We provide insights into the vision and implementation of the heating network: How the heating plant is being built, how the houses in Arosa will be connected to the heating network step by step – and why this project is a crucial building block for a climate-friendly future.Simon Zgraggen, Managing Director of the Arosa heating plant and board member of oeko energie ag, explains what economic impulses the project generates for Arosa – through local investments, contracts for regional businesses, and a secure energy supply. He also emphasizes the social character of the locally anchored heating option: a project that connects people, fosters collaboration, and makes an important contribution to the quality of life in Arosa.Afterward, representatives and experts from Community, Forestry, Energy, and Tourism will discuss the opportunities the heating network brings to the entire region: an energy supply from regional wood that retains income and jobs in the valley, stable heating costs, improved supply security, enhancement of the tourism image, and a significant reduction in CO₂.To conclude the evening, everyone is invited to an apéro. There, users of existing heating networks from Uri will share their experiences – and look forward to an open exchange with the people of Arosa.
