International Boogie Nights Chur 2026

The International Boogie Nights Chur return to the GKB Auditorium this year and once again promise an evening full of energy, joy of playing and musical excellence. What was launched in 2011 by Chris Conz, internationally awarded boogie-woogie pianist, has long since established itself as a fixed meeting place for lovers of boogie-woogie, rock'n'roll, blues and jazz.

At the center of this edition is a top-class international line-up. Mike Sanchez (UK/Spain), one of Europe's most charismatic rock'n'roll pianists, will lead the evening as headliner – with explosive stage presence, virtuosity and pure entertainment. Also on board is Michael van den Valentyn (DE), an exceptionally versatile pianist who effortlessly switches between powerful boogie-woogie and subtle jazz.

As host, Chris Conz inspires with his unmistakable mixture of tradition, groove and joy of playing. He is supported by Duke Seidmann, who brings bluesy depth and soulful colors to the program with saxophone and vocals, as well as Pascal Ammann on guitar, who expands the musical spectrum with his stylistic sense.

The rhythmic foundation is provided by Mario von Holten on drums and Arno Schulz on double bass - a well-rehearsed duo that gives the artists space and at the same time provides driving swing. Special attention will be paid to the up-and-coming talent Ennio Hess, who impressively shows with his fresh approach to the piano that the next generation of boogie-woogie is already in the starting blocks.

The International Boogie Nights Chur are organized by Chris Conz in cooperation with his company Conz Production GmbH and Gian and Renato Monsch from Shake & Roll GmbH from Thusis. Gian Monsch is considered a proven blues connoisseur and shaped the Swiss blues scene for many years with his legendary blues concerts in Thusis. His son Renato Monsch is responsible for the technical implementation and ensures that sound and light do justice to the musical performances on stage in every respect.

The International Boogie Nights Chur stand for passionate live music, humorous moderation and a unique closeness between artists and audience. An evening where musical styles merge, generations meet and the spark is guaranteed to fly – a must for all those who love handmade music.
