In 2011, the duo Kappeler/Zumthor was formed and quickly established itself as an independent and carefully working voice in the music landscape. With their very different backgrounds such as folk music, new music, classical music, hardcore noise or free improvisation, they have found their own language for their acoustic music together. In addition to programmes for the international concert stages, he has also created many cross-media works for theatre, art, film and literature. With great sensitivity to sound, form and texture, they create pieces and instrumental songs. A music of simplicity and (at times wild) melancholy, with plenty of space and openness, with joy of playing and humour.
