The focus of the concert is Schubert's Arpeggione Sonata for basset clarinet in A and organ
Schubert composed this sonata in Vienna in November 1824. It is one of the immortal pearls in the chamber music repertoire. Its main theme is reminiscent of the beginning of the "Unfinished". The short slow movement is immediately followed by a virtuoso Rondo in A major.
