A moving drama about an unpredictable bond.

When her neighbor has to go to the hospital to give birth, Sandra, a single bookseller in her mid-50s, agrees to take care of her young son, even though she can do little with children. However, complications arise during childbirth, and the mother dies. In the following time, Sandra grows more and more into the role of an important caregiver not only for the boy, but also for the widowed father and the newborn. A deep bond develops, even if she has to balance where her limits are.
