Lesung mit Musik "Auf dem Sterneweg" in Waltensburg

The historic "Camino de Santiago" has been experiencing a great renaissance for several decades: thousands and thousands of people from all over the world – not only devout Christians, but also art lovers and sports-motivated hikers – set out on the "Star Trail" and each have their own experiences. They all have a goal in mind and a longing in their hearts...
However, since not everyone has the opportunity to go to Santiago on foot, we offer you the opportunity to embark on an imaginary pilgrimage with our program "On the Way of the Stars". From the literature on the Way of St. James, which has become almost unmanageable, Rudolf Guckelsberger has compiled texts that shed light on the historical background of the Way of St. James on the one hand and report on the very personal experiences of several Santiago pilgrims on the other. The spectrum ranges from texts from the 13th century to contemporary authors such as Cees Nooteboom. In addition, there are excerpts from historical novels and, of course, passages from the most famous pilgrimage report of our days, Hape Kerkeling's "Ich bin dann mal weg", are not to be missed.


Barbara Gräsle accompanies the hike along the oldest pilgrimage route through northern Spain, the Camino francés, with suitable guitarist sounds, including those by Francisco Tarréga and the composer Ulrich Uhland Warnecke.
Towards the end of the program, anyone who wants to can feel like a pilgrim themselves when they join in the popular pilgrimage song "Tous les matins nous prenons le chemin"...
