“Maistra Speaks…” – Talk on Humor – in the Awareness of Seriousness

The event continues the conversation series reflecting on the hotel’s development- and construction period.

“We were always aware of the seriousness of the situation, but we also laughed a lot. That's how we got through it.”

Humor serves as nourishment for the soul, reminding us of the lightness of being and strengthening our sense of connection. Both also shaped the demanding creation process of Hotel Maistra. A great deal was at stake throughout the years-long project —for the architect as well as for the owners.

‘Despite intense discussions, the struggle to find solutions, and various challenges, humor never left us,’ say architect Gion A. Caminada and owner Bettina Plattner-Gerber. On this evening, they will be joined in conversation by Swiss Jesuit priest and Zen master Niklaus Brantschen.
