Musikalische Unterhaltung

The Ländlerkapelle Alpafründa was founded in 1972 by clarinettist Jakob Truog. Also present were Alois Kammermann as second clarinetist, Johannes Truog and Reinhard Spörri on the Schwyzerörgelis and Werner Schmid on bass. The goal of the Musikkanten, to convey rustic, traditional Bünder music to the listeners, is still pursued today. Today, the Alpafründa Ländler Band is composed as follows: Founder and Kapellmeister Jakob Truog from Fürstenaubruck plays the clarinet. As a retired insurance specialist, he enjoys his free time with music and his hobbies. Reinhard Spörri lives in Tenna and is a self-employed Schwyzerörgeli farmer. The bass violinist and self-employed tiler Werner Schmid is responsible for the necessary foundation. He lives in Chur and temporarily in his second home in Pura in Ticino. With Jakob Truog's two sons, the second generation has moved into the Alpafründa Ländler band: civil engineer Arno Truog plays the clarinet like his father and lives in Pfäffikon SZ. His brother Markus Truog, a retail specialist, plays the accordion and Schwyzerörgeli, works as a sporting goods specialist and lives in Euhtal.
