Event Arosa Lenzerheide
Neujahrskonzert
Description
Over 200 years of the waltz king! No other composer's music is as strongly associated with the turn of the year as the lively waltzes, polkas, and quadrilles of Johann Strauss (son), who was born in Vienna in 1825. For the "more unconventional" festive sounds, Gilles Apap, the French violin virtuoso who simply does not fit into a box, moves with a sense of style and curiosity between jazz, folklore, and classical music. His specially composed cadenza for Mozart's fifth violin concerto is a unique experience, and the captivating folk music works from Apap's repertoire offer an even deeper insight into his fascinating, creative output.
