Young virtuosos – in demand internationally

The Pantaleón Trio will create an evening together with three key works of the piano trio literature.

The programme includes Shostakovich's Trio No. 1 in C minor op. 8, a passionate youthful work full of drama and fine irony. This is followed by Ludwig van Beethoven's Trio in B flat major op. 11, also known as the "Gassenhauer Trio", which shows classicism in its brightest form with charm, lightness and sparkling joy of playing. The concert concludes with Johannes Brahms' Trio No. 1 in B major op. 8 – a monumental work that combines lyrical depth and symphonic breadth.

The name Pantaleón Trio is also the program and a surprise awaits in Chur: Astor Piazzolla will send his greetings during the encores (if the audience wants...).

The three musicians, who are distinguished by their individual artistic signature, create a programme that ranges from youthful energy to mature expressiveness - a chamber music evening full of contrasts, intensity and many timbres.
