PUTAN CLUB is an electrifying duo from Italy and France – consisting of Gianna Greco (bass, effects, electronics) and François R. Cambuzat (guitar, voice, electronics). Their music combines powerful bass lines, distorted guitar riffs, precise electronics and haunting performances.
Between techno, industrial, post-punk and avant-garde, PUTAN CLUB moves away from common categories and sees itself as a musical resistance – against cultural standardization, political inertia and social injustice. Inspired by global movements, from North African trance to European post-industrial, the duo tours the world uncompromisingly – from Laâyoune to Beijing – collaborating with artists such as Lydia Lunch and Eugene S. Robinson. The energetic, often radical stage language is just as much a part of the concept as the breaking up of musical conventions.
