Saadet Türköz is a highly sought-after improviser, vocal and performance artist who performs around the globe.

Due to the Chinese government's repression of the Kazakh and Uyghur population in East Turkestan, Saadet's parents fled in the late 1930s via India and Pakistan to Istanbul, where Saadet grew up. At the age of 19, she followed her sister to Switzerland.

Saadet Türköz's music is shaped by its origins, archaic and pure nature. It combines traditional sounds of Central Asia and the Orient with contemporary influences. Their music could be described as "folklore imaginaire" in a new guise. However, Saadet Türköz does not cultivate a particular style. Rather, she sings out of inner necessity. She lets her thoughts flow with physical expression in song – touching the invisible, idolizing the worldly, mourning losses, hoping for the spring flowers. In narrative-musical communication, she seeks the challenge of unknown zones, but also the beauty of the sounds of human existence.
