On this guided 2-day tour in a small group we cross the beautiful Greina plateau in winter. We experience the seclusion and tranquility of the landscape away from the hustle and bustle.
Starting point: Ghirone above Olivone TI
End point: S. Giusep above Vrin GR
Overnight: Capanna Scaletta (2205m), as the hut is unattended in winter, we take dinner and breakfast with us and prepare it together.
Equipment: snowshoes, poles, avalanche shovel and probe, avalanche transceiver (equipment can be rented). Winter-proof hiking equipment, hut sleeping bag, provisions for the road
Price: per person 200.00 CHF
Included services: Guided by experienced hiking guide WWGR, overnight stay, incl. dinner and breakfast. Taxi bus from Olivone and from S. Giusep (Vrin)
Not included are personal provisions for the journey and the costs for travel to and from the event.

Tour description
Day 1: We travel by train and post bus to Olivone TI and then change to the taxi, which takes us as far as the road conditions allow in the direction of Greina. Then we climb up to the Scaletta Hut, which we reach after about 3-4 hours of walking time with a maximum ascent of 800 meters.
Day 2: Starting from the hut, we cross the Greina plain along its entire length to the Diesrut pass and then descend to Puzzatsch in Val Lumnezia. Finally we reach S. Giusep, the end point of the tour. From there by taxi and post bus to Ilanz, where we change to the RhB to Chur. The hiking time is approx. 6 -7 hours. Ascent: 500m, descent 1200m
