MUSIC | WORLD MUSIC
Selveya (fka Chloe et Les Vaillantes) is an English-French-Swiss eclectic folk band founded in Bern in the summer of 2021. Since their debut at the Uhuru Festival, the four musicians have toured Switzerland and France and released their first album "Footsteps" in March 2023 and christened it at Mahogany Hall. With guitar (Chloe Levaillant), violin (Andrina Daeppen), dulcimer (Joscha Frey), double bass (Loreen Ilou Haesler) and poignant vocal harmonies, they create a warm, emotionally touching and at the same time energetic atmosphere. Their unique and hard-to-classify music contains elements of folk, chanson, Celtic folk, Irish and Swiss folk music and pop. In this way, they move between tradition and innovation: they refer to their different cultural roots and create something new on this basis. In this way, they make an active contribution to the further development of F/folk music and cultural exchange. The four band members come from the south of France/London, Geneva, Bern and Graubünden, and sing in French, English and Spanish.
