Elvira works as a simple "jack of all trades" for Frieda von Rotz, a lawyer.
One day, Frieda has to attend a meeting in the law firm. Just then, Elvira receives a call from Claire, an old, rather unloved friend. Unfortunately, Elvira didn't always stick to the truth and fooled Claire into believing a life of luxury. When Claire invites herself for a spontaneous visit, Elvira slips into the role of the rich, sophisticated lady without further ado. For her dearly beloved, invented husband, the gardener Peter has to serve and play this role. Claire is visibly impressed by Elvira's lifestyle. But it comes as it must: Frieda unexpectedly bursts into the production and messes everything up. And last but not least, Huber, from the housemaid commission: he comes for a spontaneous check-up on this darn day.
