Silvia Buol shows watercolors and photos that were taken during her 3-month studio scholarship of the city of Chur in Genoa.
- Large-format watercolors of city walks and waterways in Genoa.
- Impressions of water with sepia ink and gouache paints
- Fabric panels dyed with pigments, water and found objects from various water sources and their surroundings in and around Genoa.
- Series of watercolors: waterways, labyrinths of the old town, water tanks and reservoirs under the city, Bisagno, mare e monti, rocks in Nervi.
- Photos taken on the daily walks.
On her daily walks through the city, Silvia Buol has mainly dealt with the waterways, the fountains, aqueducts, water reservoirs, rivers and the sea. Water characterises the city of Genoa from the hills to the harbour and invites you to a variety of journeys of discovery. She has translated her walks into watercolours and worked on fabrics and paper with lots of water, sepia ink and watercolours, painted and coloured them.
She will also present her new book "Acqua. Watercolors, photos, waterways. Genoa / Acqua. Acquerelli, photo, Corsi d'Acqua. Genova" with photos and watercolors from the stay in Genoa and short texts by acquaintances from Genoa and Switzerland on the subject of water.
