On October 2, 2025, the Verrucano Mels will focus on security policy. The focus is on Switzerland's role between international actors and the question of how our country can maintain stability and security.

While economic and foreign policy make important contributions through diplomacy and cooperation, the army anticipates and prepares for possible threats.

In the new dialogue format of the Verrucano Mel, Armed Forces Chief Thomas Süssli and Council of States Werner Salzmann , moderated by Markus Somm, will discuss Switzerland's role between international actors and the question: What does Switzerland need now – and what can it do?
