Mailin (Marisa Crameri) and Luca (Ivan Breitenmoser) send an ominous card with the words "Save the Date", a date, a trendy hotel address and their two names to their parents before they set off on their trip to Borneo.
Since no one can speak English, the card opens the door to the wildest guesses. Unfortunately, it is not possible to contact the couple because they are traveling without a cell phone. In the end, it is clear to the parents: the two will get married.
The big day has arrived. Rita (Luzia Kollegger), the bride's mother, commissions a hotel employee (Kurt Lötscher) to create a good atmosphere, while the bride's father (Patrick Breitenmoser) has prepared a speech for the big day. The young Gabriella (Romana Rusterholz) on the arm of Luca's father Oskar (Robert Caplazi) briefly causes confusion - and the excitement doesn't diminish when Thomas (Ivan Locher), Mailin's fiancé, shows up at the hotel today. Even the olives, which bartender Cindy (Petra Federspiel) generously distributes to everyone, don't help anymore.
No one will ever forget this day, because nothing goes as you had imagined.
