Freeride Festival Flims Laax: Workshop 1AID – First Aid in the Field Conducted by: Skipatrol LAAXDauer: 1.5 – 2h Get a practical insight into first aid in winter terrain! Our experienced patrollers from the LAAX ski area will teach you the most important basics to act safely and correctly in emergency situations in the snow in a workshop lasting around 1.5-2 hours. The workshop combines theoretical inputs with practical exercises and is aimed at all those who want to strengthen their competence in the Alpine region. Contents of the workshop-What belongs in a sensible emergency pharmacy -Procedure for cuts -Bone fractures: How and with what to splint correctly -Recognizing and assessing concussion -Heat preservation and hypothermia -Circulatory arrest and resuscitation The workshop is aimed at all those who move in wintry alpine terrain and want to strengthen their competence in emergency situations. This workshop is part of the Freeride Festival Flims Laax – an event that combines deep snow, creativity and alpine adventure in a unique format. Over the first week of March, riders, filmmakers and outdoor enthusiasts will meet to celebrate the diversity of freeride: with contests, workshops, a testival and inspiring encounters on the mountain and in the valley. Registration is required. During the workshop, an event photographer can be on the road and accompany your group. By participating in the event, you agree that images and video recordings created by you at the event may be used indefinitely for reporting and marketing purposes (website, social media, print materials).
