Zuoz Globe Plays - MACBETH

20 years ago, the Shakespeare Company of the Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz celebrated its first premiere with MACBETH. To mark this anniversary, the dark masterpiece will be performed again in a new production at the Zuoz Globe.

Synopsis:
Encouraged by the promising prophecies of the witches and guided by the whisperings of his lady, the ambitious Macbeth murders the Scottish king Duncan in his sleep and usurps his rule. But the dream of power is short-lived. Tormented by feelings of guilt and delusions, Macbeth gets caught in a web of intrigue and betrayal. A spiral of gruesome murders is set in motion, but nothing can save the self-proclaimed king and his wife from the abyss of their own souls.

Premiere: Friday, January 30, 7:30 p.m.

Pupils from the Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz and the La Plaiv secondary school will play.
