«Zwischen Spitzensport und Alpinismus» - Vortrag in Ilanz

The 23-year-old ice climber Benjamin Bosshard, who grew up in Lugnez, is one of the great young hopes of his sport. In the winter of 24/25, he crowned his strong season by winning the overall World Cup in the "Lead" discipline and also secured the European Champion title.

In the summer of 2024, together with his climbing partner Filippo Sala, he completed the so-called "Grande U" of Bondasca – the crossing of all the main peaks above Valle Bondasca – in just 36 hours. The striking ridge silhouette between the Passo della Turbinasca and the Passo Cacciabella comprises 17 peaks, 29 kilometres and around 4900 metres in altitude - an alpinist challenge in a class of its own.

In his lecture, Benjamin talks about his life as a competitive athlete and his passion for challenging projects in the high mountains.
