The Grotti of Cama

The „Grotti of Cama“ lie in a densely-wooded chestnut forest and comprise some 50 recently reno-vated stone storage cellars. Built during past centuries, their purpose was to preserve both wine and foodstuffs.

The main feature of these natural cellars is a dynamic system of air circulation, one could almost say “the breath of the mountain”, which permeates through the cracks between stones, thereby maintaining constant temperature and humidity.
