At around 120 km2 , the Parco Val Calanca is the smallest nature park in the country and the first in Italian-speaking Switzerland. Mountains and water characterise its landscape. Above all, the heart-shaped Lagh de Calvaresc, which the new nature park bears in its logo.

The Buffalora hut is a stage stop on the Sentiero Alpino Calanca. It is the only hut in the Calanca Valley that is staffed. Perfect for resting and enjoying the view over the valley.
