Description

The 3 cable car route offers a real highlight in the Alpine region. Discover three areas in just one day. Tickets can be purchased directly at the valley stations Davos Parsenn, Klosters Gotschna, Arosa Hörnli-Express, or in Tschiertschen. Please note the shortened season duration of the Tschiertschen cable cars.

Hidden Gem

Those who want to be on the safe side or want to do the route in a group are recommended to join the local mountain guides, who have regularly included the route in their program.

Please observe the valid operating hours of the cable cars. The tour is only to be done under suitable conditions. Check the snow situation and dangers with the avalanche bulletin, have the necessary safety equipment with you, and respect the wildlife protection zones.

Safety Note

The area lies outside the marked, prepared, and secured pistes and is considered skiing off-piste. It is neither marked nor secured against alpine dangers. The piste and rescue service only monitors and controls the marked and opened pistes. Davos Klosters Bergbahnen AG, Arosa Bergbahnen AG, Lenzerheide Bergbahnen AG, and Tschiertschen Bergbahnen reject any liability for leaving the marked and prepared pistes.

This freeride route is to be understood as general directional guidance. Depending on conditions, descent routes must be assessed and adjusted individually. No guarantee can be given for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the information.

Freeriding in the open terrain is at your own risk. Every freerider and tour participant is strongly advised to prepare thoroughly, plan routes, and obtain current information on snow and avalanche conditions. Avalanche report and snow info: www.slf.ch

Liability for accidents resulting from the use of the published information and route details is excluded. We recommend accompaniment by a mountain guide.

Directions

Stage 1

Davos Klosters – Sapün - Langwies

Take the Parsennbahn up to the Weissfluh summit. From there, you start with a steep descent to Sapün. We recommend a coffee break at Heimeli. Tip: Meanwhile, check the train connection in Langwies; the train ride to Arosa is included (RhB 2nd class). From Sapün, follow the prepared path (observe multiple use).

Stage 2

Langwies – Arosa - Tschiertschen

From Langwies, continue to the Hörnli-Express in Arosa. The train departs hourly at the 48th minute from Langwies. You are now in the Arosa Lenzerheide snow sports area. With the gondola, you reach the Hörli at 2511 m above sea level, where the next unique, unsecured freeride descent awaits. Alternatively, and safer, you can reach Lenzerheide directly via the Urdenbahn and the official slopes. From Hörnli, experienced freeriders ride past the snow-covered Urdensee into the challenging Geisterhang. Passing the Urdenalphütte, continue towards Löser and Clüs. From there a piste leads to the valley station at Tschiertschen.

Stage 3

Tschiertschen – Parpan - Lenzerheide

With the two chairlifts in Tschiertschen you reach the Hühnerköpfe, from where you ski down the piste to the valley station of Jochalp. Once you arrive at the top with the drag lift, you can refresh yourself in the Jochalp restaurant and enjoy a wonderful view over Chur and the Rhine valley from the viewpoint. Refreshed, the unsecured descent continues through the Black Forest towards Foppa and over the Ausser- and Innerberg to Parpan.

The ski bus takes you to Lenzerheide (included in the ticket). The PostBus takes you to Davos (Important: PostBus is not included in the fare).
