Description

The village of Sumvitg is located near the Anterior Rhine – the Rein Anteriur. The Romance language is still very much anchored here.

To get in, walk along the main road for a while until the silence begins from Rabius. Hiking trail sections alternate with forest and alpine roads. Above Trun, you come to the settlement of Caltgadira, where the well-known pilgrimage church of Maria Licht has been shining as a beautiful baroque building since 1683.

Now it's time to gain altitude. Over large stretches of hiking trails, you finally reach the village of Schlans. A mountain village in Graubünden could hardly be more original. A short walk through the alleys is definitely worth it. To Dardin, you continue for three kilometres on an asphalted side road and can enjoy the mountains in a relaxed manner. The final ascent to Brigels, again on well-developed hiking trails, completes the hiking day.
