Description

Hike uphill from Segnes hut up to Cassons mountain station on the ridge of the same name. This offers a view over the two Segnes plateaus and the Tschingelhörner peaks with Martinsloch.

Equipment

Footwear suitable for the mountains, backpack with a rain coat, a warm fleece, sun cream, food and water. Hiking poles optional.

Directions

The trail gently ascends, offering views across the expansive Lower Segnesboden and further down to the Upper Segnesboden, a glacially shaped high plateau.

The well-maintained path leads comfortably uphill toward Cassons, passing rock formations and a variety of alpine flora. All along the route, hikers are treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, including Piz Segnas and the Tschingelhörner with the famous Martinsloch. From the Cassons mountain station, hikers are greeted with a stunning panoramic view over the high-alpine landscape of the Sardona Tectonic Arena, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Arrive in Chur by train and from there take the post bus to Flims Dorf Bergbahnen

Travel Information

Motorway A13 towards Chur, continue until exit 18 "Reichenau". From there follow signs for Flims. Park at Stenna Center at the cable car station Flims.

Park at the underground car park "Stenna" at the cable car station in Flims.
