Description

The starting point of this four-hour hike is the Arosa train station. The start of the route is found at the valley station of the Arosa-Weisshorn cable car. The first section leads over the Scheitenböden to the mid-station of the Weisshorn cable car. After just under 1.5 km, you reach the tree line, and the alpine panorama opens up. Along the hilly landscape, the path with fantastic views leads to the highest point of the route, the Hauptichopf.

After another interesting and scenic stage over the Scheidegg, you hike down to the Ochsenalp. After a refreshment in the cozy alpine inn, you continue over the Rot Tritt to the Prätschalp. Further on between the upper and lower Prätschsee, above the golf course past the Maran cheese dairy, you reach the last highlight of the circular route, the Eichhörnliweg, and back to the train station.

The Eichhörnliweg section is especially popular with families. Along the route, there are also some well-maintained fire pits.

Safety Note

Note: Snowfields may be present on high-altitude sections until the summer months.
