Description

On a promontory on Lake Walen lies Quinten and the hamlet of Au. Quinten is one of the few car-free places in Switzerland.  The mild climate allows figs, lemons, sweet chestnuts and a good wine to ripen.

From Murg West, a boat runs several times a day to Au and Quinten, even in winter. We start the excursion with a boat trip from Murg West to Au. After the boat trip, we cross the delta of the Aubach and walk along the lake on a wide, beautifully landscaped path to Quinten.
