Details
Description
Located high above the Domleschg at 1470 m above sea level, Feldis can be easily reached from Rhäzüns by cable car. At the edge of the village begins the signposted flower path, which leads through species-rich semi-dry meadows: fire lilies, various orchids, Grand Prize of Honour and willow-leaved beef suck line the wayside and enchant the semi-dry meadows in summer into a colourful sea of flowers. The trail then leads through an open, grazed larch forest and through a fern-rich spruce forest back to Feldis. Two short detours from the circular route are worthwhile: The first leads to the large erratic block, which was deposited by the Albula Glacier during the last ice age and today lies in the middle of the larch forest. And on the second one you reach the «Thusisblick», where you have a great view of Domleschg and Thusis – and where a picnic area with roasting area invites you to linger.
Any hiking trail closures/restrictions or diversions can be found here.
