Details
Description
At the practice area Maran, there is a short but steep descent towards Schafwald. Then the track leads 2 km flat through the Seebachtobel. This is followed by an approx. 2 km long ascent. Shortly after the 4 km mark, there is the junction Prätschalp / Ochsenalp. The Ochsenalp track is a 6 km long out-and-back route. Returning at the junction, the Prätschalp track goes to the right. The highest point is reached on the upper part of the Sonnenloipe at just under 1970 meters. Here cross-country skiers can enjoy a view over the Schanfigg valley with its quaint Walser houses. A break is therefore worthwhile. Then follows a short descent. Then follow the track to the entry of the lower part of the Sonnenloipe. After this round, it continues to the lower Prätschsee. At the lake, a short and very steep ascent follows. Then it is less than two kilometers to the driving range of the Golf Club. Once there, still ski the signposted training and night track.
Hidden Gem
