Description

From Flims you first take the asphalt road via the Walser village of Fidaz past the mighty rock faces of the Flimserstein up to Bargis. The high valley with its alpine economy is known for its spectacular rock faces and unique mountain scenery. The trail continues on the natural road through the picturesque high valley. The trail leads along the mighty Flimserstein across the high plateau, then climbs slowly and ends at Alp Rusna.

Behind Alp Rusna, the narrow, gorge-like entrance to the "cathedral" is on the left. A footpath leads along the stream through the steep rock faces, be careful especially with climbing shoes, the path is very slippery. From here you reach the cathedral, two waterfalls cascade down from the high pulpit.

The descent is on the same path as the ascent, on the descent from Barigs to Flims watch out for oncoming traffic!

Geheimtipp

Stop in Bargis before the rapid descent.
