Description

The tour starts at a leisurely pace in Bad Ragaz through the Giessenpark and along the Rhine into the vineyards of Fläsch. Enjoy the first views of the Rhine Valley and the passage through the winegrowing village of Fläsch, which was awarded the Wakker Prize in 2010 and forms the gateway to the Bündner Herrschaft. After a short climb, you reach the Heididorf - The Original. The "Dörfli" from Johanna Spyri's world-famous novel welcomes you on an emotional journey back in time to the Swiss mountains of the 19th century. Via the Heidi adventure trail, which tells the story of Heidi with 12 stations, the path climbs leisurely up to the Heidialp, with wonderful views of the Chur Rhine Valley and the Seez Valley. The return journey continues along the Heidi adventure trail to the historic town of Maienfeld and past beautiful patrician houses across the Rhine back to the starting point in Bad Ragaz.

Hidden Gem

In memory of the writer Johanna Spyri, the Heidi Fountain was built in Maienfeld in 1953, inviting you to take a souvenir photo.
