The moderate e-bike ride through the beautiful landscape hints at why Johanna Spyri was inspired on the Heidialp to write the world-famous story "Heidi".
Details
Description
The ride to Heidialp starts in the spa town of Bad Ragaz and leads through the village and over the Rhine to Maienfeld. You ride here exclusively on paved roads or simple gravel paths. In Maienfeld, you ride through the winding, romantic alleys to the higher-lying hamlet of Rofels. Not far from Rofels is the Heidi village, which is visited annually by thousands of guests. From here, the second larger ascent to Heidialp begins. With the e-mountain bike, you can still reach the stage destination comfortably.
The return ride leads via a rather steep but safe gravel path to Jenins, also a beautiful village in the Bündner Herrschaft. From Jenins, it goes back to the Alpine Rhine, which you follow downstream back to Bad Ragaz.
Hidden Gem
With battery-saving riding style, no charging is necessary. The battery cannot be charged on site.
Equipment
