Description

The route starts comfortably in Bad Ragaz through Giessenpark and along the Rhine into the wine village Fläsch, which was awarded the Wakker Prize in 2010 and forms the gateway to the Bündner Herrschaft. The subsequent ascent offers a view of the Chur Rhine Valley and ends in Heididorf - The Original. There, the "village" from Johanna Spyri's world-famous novel welcomes visitors to an emotional time travel into the Swiss mountain world of the 19th century. From the Heidi house, the goat stall, and the village shop to the museum about the author and the post office with the Heididorf special stamp, everything is designed to reflect the story of Heidi.

The return ride leads swiftly over the gentle hills of the aristocratic vineyards through the historic small town Maienfeld, past the beautiful patrician houses and Salenegg Castle. After crossing the Rhine, the circular route crosses the Giessenpark again and ends at the starting point at the Tamina Therme Bad Ragaz.
