E-Bike Tamina valley

On the former access road, which is closed to motorized traffic, the easy tour masters the ascent into the Tamina Valley to Valens. The rehabilitation center there is one of the leading rehabilitation clinics in Switzerland and specializes in the treatment of functional disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems. With a view of the imposing Tamina Bridge - an arched bridge with a span of 270 m - and into the depths of the Tamina Gorge, the tour makes a loop via Vasön and the Mapragg reservoir. The water from this equalizing reservoir, which has already been used to produce electricity, can be pumped back into the higher Gigerwald reservoir during periods of low electricity consumption and used again to produce electricity when required. In Pfäfers, the baroque monastery church and, at Wartenstein Castle, a wonderful view of the Grisons Rhine Valley accompany the rapid descent back down to Bad Ragaz and the Tamina Therme.
